Dracoria
Chapter 1

It was a land of magic and peace a land filled with magical creature’s and knights that rid on the back of mighty dragons, and some were the knights of the night, other’s were gifted with magic and other’s were gifted with knowledge they were all at peace. But everything changed when a warlord know as Cronos waged war on them he raised an army of demons and he destroyed his enemies only a few remain of them and they formed a resistance waiting in the mountains there they waited for the legendary warriors to end Cronos rage on the world once and for all. But that is not where this story begins it started in the village of Gabriel.


I woke up and I heard the birds chirping I got out of bed and I yawned.
“I wonder what Kayla’s doing” I asked myself.
I grabbed my cello and it’s case and I took a walk to where Kayla lived I went to her house and saw Kayla we were childhood friends and I was in love with her I watched her work at her house for a while I smiled and I walked down to her.
“Need any help?” I asked.
“Oh hi Logan no thanks I can handle this myself” Kayla said smiling.
“You sure?” I asked.
“Yea” She said.
“Well do you mind if I play some music?” I asked.
“Music how with that?” Kayla asked.
“Yea” I said.
“Alright” Kayla said getting back to work
I took my cello out of its case and I started to play Kayla never heard music like that before so looked at me.
“What is it called?” She asked.
“A cello” I said.
“Hm never heard of it before” Kayla said.
“That’s because I made it” I said.
“Oh well your really good at it” Kayla said.
“I practiced playing it so I can play it for you sometime” I said as I continued to play.
“Well thank you for playing it for me Logan” Kayla said.
It took awhile for her to get done working as she did I stopped playing the cello she looked at me. I looked down even though I was in love with her I would never tell her I love her.
“Is something wrong?” Kayla asked.
“No nothing’s wrong” I said not looking at her.
“Oh come on something’s on your mind tell me” Kayla said.
I was about to say something then a flash came and everything was on fire.
“What!?” I said.
“Logan what’s happening?” Kayla asked.
“I don’t know” I said.
Then we heard the villager’s screaming and they were being chased by monsters then two came up to us. My eye’s started to glowed dark red and my nails grew longer and sharper.
“Logan?” Kayla said moving a couple of inches away from me.
The monsters started to attack one tried to stab me with it’s claws but I grabbed it’s claws and I struck it with my own claws killing it and the other monster was gonna attack Kayla but I blocked it’s attack before it could hurt Kayla and I killed the beast and then I looked at Kayla.
“Logan?” She said worried.
I didn’t say anything except I fell unconscious Kayla ran over to me and rested my head on her lap and she started to stoke my hair I woke up and saw her she looked worried.
“Kayla” I said as I put a hand on her cheek.
“Logan you okay?” Kayla asked.
“Yea what happened?” I asked.
“You went berserk and killed the two monsters” Kayla said.
“Kayla?” I said noticing she was about to cry.
“Logan it was so scary” She said crying as she pulled me closer.
“Kayla was I that scary?” I asked not remembering what happened.
“Yes you didn’t seem like yourself” She said as she continued to cry.
“His Demon powers have awakened” someone said.
I immediately got up and went in front of Kayla to protect her.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“That is not important right now” the hooded man said.
“Then what’s happening?” Kayla asked.
“It has begun” The man said.
“What do you mean?” I said.
The man brought out a scythe and pointed it at me.
“Bring out your demon powers” The man said.
“Stay back Kayla” I said.
“Be careful Logan” Kayla said worried.
I nodded and I looked at the man who was ready to attack me.
“Prepare yourself” The man said running at me.
He swung his scythe at me but I dodged it and I punched him in the face but it had no effect on him so he then went faster and he cut my chest with his scythe. Blood came out of my body fast I knelled and held my chest.
“Damnit” I said.
The man walked to me.
“I guess I was wrong about you” He said ready to give the deathblow.
“No” Kayla said but no one could hear it she started having tears coming down her face.
I saw her crying then the man was about to strike.
“LOGAN!” Kayla shouted.
I then grabbed the blade of his weapon before he could hit I was feeling energy come to my body.
“What?” The man said.
My nails started growing longer and sharper again
“I don’t intend on dying” I said as I started to look at him with my red eyes.
I then grabbed him and I threw him at a burning building but he got back on his feet.
“Well then again I was right about you and I leave this place if I were you there’s nothing here for you” the man said disappearing.
“Damn him” I thought.
“Lo-Logan?” Kayla said.
I then felt the energy dissipate I looked at Kayla my nails went back to normal and my eye’s turned blue again.
“Kayla” I said.
“Logan” Kayla said with tears as she ran up to me and hugged me hard.
“Kayla are you okay?” I asked worried about her.
“I was so scared on losing you and you scared me when you did that promise me you won’t ever change like that again” Kayla said crying on my chest.
“I promise” I said hugging her back.
We let go of each other and looked around and only saw the villager’s slaughtered and all the buildings burning Kayla then realized something and ran to her grandparents house only to see them dead and their house burning. She fell on her knees and started crying again I walked to her and I put my hand on her shoulder.
“Kayla I’m sorry” I said as I hugged her.
She hugged me back and cried.
“Why did this have to happen?” She asked.
“I don’t know” I said.
We then heard a small bark we looked around to see what it was and we saw a small puppy whimpering scared and it was all dirty it was with a blue stone Kayla picked up the puppy and held it I picked up the stone.
“Aww poor thing its cold Logan can we keep him?” Kayla asked.
“Yea we can what should we name it though?” I asked.
“Hmm how about Akita?” Kayla said.
“If it’s fine with you” I said still looking at the stone.
“Maybe we can keep that it’s pretty maybe we can sell it to get some money” Kayla said.
The stone started to move Kayla and me were surprised and I put the stone on the ground it started to crack and a strange blue animal came out with wings it surprised us.
“Well hello what are you?” I asked.
“Logan what is it?” Kayla asked.
“I think it’s a baby dragon” I said.
“Wow really wait I thought all the dragons were gone” Kayla said.
“Well this one isn’t” I said.
I reached out to touch it and I touched it’s forehead and I felt something strange flowing threw my body I didn’t know what it was so I acted normal and I kept petting it and the baby dragon made low cheerful grows.
“I think she like’s you Logan” Kayla said.
“Yea me to hey Kayla why don’t we take her with us?” I said.
“I don’t mind and I always wanted to see a baby dragon” Kayla said.
Then we heard some loud roars.
“but first we got to get out of here I think the monsters are coming back” I said.
“Yea” Kayla said holding Akita.
The baby dragon jumped on my shoulder and I carried the cello case with the cello in it.
“Well let’s go” I said.
“Yea” Kayla said.
We left Gabriel and we saw the entire village burning we then set out to the next village.
